Acquirement of French Galley specialist Tanel International S.A.

The MacGREGOR's Food Handling Technology Unit, ALMACO since May 2005, has strengthened its presence in the passenger and cruise ship sector with the acquisition of the French galley specialist company Tanel International Located in the Nantes region, Tanel International SA is a successful marine galley system supplier to cruise ships and ferries, and complements ALMACO's existing passenger ship activities in providing provisions stores, refrigeration equipment and air-conditioning plant. With the addition of Tanel, ALMACO is able to provide complete catering system solutions compliant with the latest regulatory requirements for shipyards, shipowners and operators. This applies to conversions and modernisation projects as well as newbuildings. Provisions stores and galleys are naturally linked, and entire food handling areas can now be designed in an optimum way. The complete solution can then be supplied, installed and commissioned by a single company under one turn-key contract.
