M/S Norman Spirit received new Cabins and Lounges

News

The ALMACO Group was contracted for a complete turnkey delivery, including twenty-one new Passenger Cabins and two new Lounges, on the M/S Norman Spirit recently acquired by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.

The trend to add cabins to unutilised or non-revenue producing areas continues. ALMACO installed twenty-one new Cabins onboard M/S Norman Spirit, one of which is an ADA Cabin, to replace part of the ship's retail area on deck 7. The new cabins will help the company meet the increasing demand for cabins. A bar and galley area were dismantled on deck 8, and a new Lounge for passengers was built in its place. On the same deck, the existing coffee bar and lounge were converted into a new First Class Lounge, including shower rooms for passengers.

The installation work took place in November of this year at Dunkerque shiprepair yard in France. The ALMACO Modernization Management package for M/S Norman Spirit included technical engineering, logistics, all HVAC and electrical work, turnkey interior outfitting, and project management.

The Norman Spirit is a modern ferry (built in 1992) with a capacity of 1,850 passengers and 120 trucks. Operated by LD Lines, Norman Spirit provides a daily link between Portsmouth and Le Havre for both tourists and professionals.
