THE LOGO
COLOR LOGO
ALMACO’s official “horizontal” logo features the colored ALMACO icon positioned to the left of the black text. Alternatively, a “centered” logo may be employed when it suits the design better.
BLACK LOGO
Utilize the full black logo variants for situations that specifically call for black logos.
WHITE LOGO
Opt for the white logo versions in instances where the original logo might not be easily discernible, such as on darker backgrounds or images.
Use only these versions.

LOGO USAGE GUIDELINES
SAFE ZONE
Ensure that there is a minimum clear space surrounding the logo, which should be equal to the height of the icon (x).
MINIMUM SIZE
The logo must not be rendered smaller than the following dimensions:
Print: 25 mm in width
On screen: 72 pixels in width
LOGO INTEGRITY
The original logo must remain unaltered in every respect. Avoid introducing additional elements, such as colors or photographs.
COLOR CONSISTENCY
Alternative color options should not be combined with other logo versions. Refrain from applying outlines or any additional effects to the logos.
USE MASTER ARTWORK
Always employ the master artwork to reproduce the logo; refrain from creating your own variations. Avoid manually adjusting the typography, colors, or shapes of the logo. When superimposing the logo onto an image, ensure that it maintains visibility and legibility.
DO NOTS IN A NUTSHELL
- The logo must not be stretched, compressed, or tilted.
- The logo proportions must not be altered.
- The logo must not be rotated.
- The logo colors must not be changed.
- Do not add shadows, glows, or any other visual effects to the logo.
- The elements of the logo must not be rearranged.
- The logo must not be placed on a busy or low-contrast background.
- The logo must not be cropped or used partially visible.
LOGO ON IMAGES
Place the logo on a calm, even area of the image, such as sky, sea or a plain wall, and keep the safe zone (x) clear of busy details. Use the color or black logo on light areas and the white logo on dark areas. Position the logo in a corner of the layout rather than in the middle of the image.
CO-BRANDING
When the ALMACO logo appears together with partner or customer logos, give each logo the same visual weight and keep at least the safe zone (x) between them. Align the logos on a common baseline or center line. Do not combine the ALMACO logo with other logos into a single new mark. Co-branded materials must be approved by ALMACO Marketing before publication.

MAIN COLORS
Ocean Blue 60, Ocean Blue 100, Funnel 100 and Funnel 20 are ALMACO’s primary colors. Funnel 100 is specifically designated for headings. The other Ocean Blue and Funnel shades support the primary colors. White and light gray should dominate every layout, with Ocean Blue as the main accent color. Select any swatch to copy its HEX value.

The 10 shades are used only as background colors, for example in text boxes and infographics.
TEXT AND BACKGROUND COMBINATIONS
Body text is black and headings are Funnel 100. On dark backgrounds, use white for both headings and body text. The combinations below keep text readable for everyone. Backgrounds marked headings only are suitable for large text, not body text.

ACCENT COLORS
In cases where a broader spectrum of colors is required, accent colors can be introduced into the design. However, it’s important to note that accent colors should not dominate more than 20% of the overall color scheme. Shade 60 is the core tone of each family and is highlighted. Sand is a light accent: its shades are lighter than the shades with the same number in the other families, so do not use Sand as a substitute for Firezone or Sea Green.

CHARTS AND DIAGRAMS
Charts, pies and other similar elements follow ALMACO’s color scheme with Ocean Blue 60 as the most dominant color supported by the other main and accent colors.
Use the chart colors in the order shown below. Light and dark shades alternate, so neighboring series stay distinguishable in grayscale print and for colorblind readers. A chart with four series uses the first four colors.
- Use no more than six slices in a pie chart. Group the smallest values under Other in Funnel 40.
- Label slices and series directly or keep the legend close, so the chart does not rely on color alone.
- Do not use the 10 or 20 shades as data colors. They are reserved for backgrounds.

VISUAL LAYOUT & ELEMENTS
The ALMACO visual identity is characterized by a light, and airy aesthetic with a gentle sea breeze. We use white and light gray tones, complemented by turquoise shades. We prioritize open spaces within our designs to provide a sense of clarity and allow our content to breathe.
TURQUOISE ACCENT LINE
ALMACO uses a distinctive turquoise line as a visual element. It is commonly positioned above or under white or light gray boxes, tables, and images. In a typical PowerPoint slide, this line is 2 1/4 points thick. The line’s thickness is adaptable, scaling proportionally with the document.
IMAGE COMPOSITION
At ALMACO, our image selection typically comprises of photographs or photorealistic renders. When presenting images in a collage format, we recommend incorporating a 3-point thick white space between each image.

PHOTOGRAPHY
STYLE
ALMACO photography is light, airy and authentic. Favor natural light, open sea views, clean interiors and real people at work. Leave calm areas in the image where text or the logo can be placed.
SUBJECTS
Show real ALMACO vessels, interiors, galleys, cabins and project sites, and the people who build and serve them. Use photorealistic renders when a project is not yet built. Avoid generic stock images that could be mistaken for ALMACO projects.
SAFETY
People photographed at shipyards, construction sites or onboard vessels under construction must wear the correct personal protective equipment, such as helmets, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing and eye protection where required.
PEOPLE AND PERMISSIONS
Use images of identifiable people only when they have given their consent. Customer vessels and projects may only be shown with ALMACO’s approval. When using images supplied by ALMACO, credit the photographer if requested and use the images only for the agreed purpose.
EDITING
Keep colors natural and true to life. Cropping and light corrections are fine. Do not apply heavy filters, change the content of an image or add elements to it.
