Davie Shipyard and ALMACO Complete Catering Modernization Project for Canadian Coast Guard
The mission to equip Canadian Coast Guard’s ice breaker CCGS Jean Goodwill with exceptionally high-performance galleys, provision stores, and refrigeration machinery has been completed at Davie shipyard.
In July 2019, ALMACO was awarded the contract to deliver a complete catering package consisting of galley provision stores and refrigeration machinery by Davie shipyard in Québec for Canadian Coast Guard’s ice breakers CCGS Jean Goodwill and CCGS Vincent Massey. The installation for CCGS Jean Goodwill has now been completed and delivered to the owner.
Vilhelm Roberts, Executive Chairman at ALMACO, says “We were especially excited to take on this project together with Davie shipyard, since we have a long history of shared success stories behind us, e.g. the massive Asterix living quarter project that we built and transported in record time. We respect the high standard that Davie shipyard set for each and every one of their projects.”
The end result of the catering modernization project on CCGS Jean Goodwill is a success and we are looking forward to continuing our work with Davie shipyard finalizing vessel 2, CCGS Massey.
