Galleys, bars & pantries
The importance of quality of food and preparation is universal, whether onboard a cruise ship, luxury superyacht, a ferry or on an offshore rig. We at ALMACO have over 20 years’ experience of turnkey project management including designing and supplying USHPS galleys, pantries, bars and buffet areas for everything between five star à la Carte to highly functional crew catering areas.
ALMACO is one of the leading providers of USPHS compliant catering solutions. All our galleys, bars and pantries have the following things in common; they stand for high hygiene, safety and quality with excellent workflow and functionality.

THE TASTE OF QUALITY
ALMACO is one of the leading providers of USPHS compliant catering solutions. All our galleys, bars and pantries have the following things in common; they stand for high hygiene, safety and quality with excellent workflow and functionality. They provide galley and kitchen staff with marine compliant heavy-duty tools to create the most exquisite food on the planet, whether for passengers, crew members or site workers.
Sometimes our customers request specific tailor-made catering solutions that stand out, these can include anything from massive chocolate fountains and duck displays to Korean barbeque in the middle of guest tables. They want to offer their passengers and staff mind-blowing experiences, but they want to do it while following USPHS regulations and safety standards. ALMACO help owners by developing own tailor-made USPHS standards for their specific needs.
PRE-DEVELOPMENT IS IMPORTANT
Pre-contractual design takes place before the actual construction project has started and before suppliers, materials and contractors have been chosen. During the pre-contractual phase ALMACO’s team sits down with the customers to discuss alternative and innovative solutions that can help optimize functionality, expenses, layout and area usage, as well as provide energy efficiency and greener equipment options. Last but not least, during pre-development we make sure the plan follows the technical specifications and, if requested, USHP and VSP regulations.
It is often stated that “well planned is half done” and this applies very well for catering projects. Pre-development, executed correctly together with the right stakeholders, is one of the best tools for minimizing risks and ensuring the owner is delivered an environmentally friendly, well-functioning and cost-effective end result.
Our Turnkey Project Models
ALMACO’s core business is to provide project management, design, supply, installation and commissioning. All this can be done using a number of different turnkey models, depending on the needs of the owner and yard as well as the nature of the project. We have decades of experience of working closely together with inhouse teams as well as providing full turnkey solutions to our customers.
Future-proof, green digital galleys
The future is here, and galleys are becoming increasingly greener and more digitalized by the minute. ALMACO offers solutions for energy-saving, preventative maintenance and equipment use optimization. These solutions all help the owners achieve the highest environment requirements while also saving energy and extending the lifetime of the galleys.
Global sourcing & production competence
Our world-wide partner network and sourcing contacts make it possible for us to offer reliable delivery and high-quality solutions at competitive prices. We use long-term production partners and marine compliant suppliers in Europe, North America and Asia to ensure each project is provided with the best standard equipment, at the right price and at the right time.
Side by side throughout the lifecycle
The lifecycle of a ship or rig begins as soon as the first line is drawn. This is where ALMACO enters the picture to provide pre-contractual services. As the drawings come to life, equipment lists are made, and maintenance programs and spare part supply systems are created. Digital solutions and equipment inspections help the owners determine the needs for equipment updates, refurbishment and modernization. ALMACO takes care of the work from the first drawing to maintenance and eventually complete modernization projects.
